Where can I teach?
We provide public and corporate training across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. We also teach many lessons online. Are you interested in teaching in Prague or regions such as Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc, Pilsen, Hradec Králové and others? Or would you like to move to Slovakia and teach in Bratislava or Košice? Prague boasts a broad expat community, offering a welcoming environment and diverse cultural experiences for people from all over the world.

How satisfied are our teachers?
There are several best things about EDUA Group. For me, it's the ability to branch out, get involved, and develop as a teacher. If you put in some time, express interest, and do great work, there's no reason you can't get involved in a new way. From Key Teachers and Methodologists to Log Book team and community events, there are several areas to grow into and mold your own work. To build on that, another great aspect of EDUA Group is the people. The people working at EDUA are willing to go above and beyond in helping you with whatever you need, be it sourcebook selection, course advice, or otherwise!
What I like most about EDUA Group is the ability for development within the company. While the support of the senior teachers and administration is spectacular, not many English centers provide opportunities for their teachers to do more than "just teach". At EDUA you can develop and host workshops for teachers, lead topical meet-ups, write for the monthly magazine, assist with English camps, and even lead demo lessons to prospective clients. I love when I get a chance to take a break from teaching and explore other passions; writing articles for the monthly magazine is a way to explore my creative outlet while still being part of the teaching community. Of course, I also love the monthly social events. As the community manager, I love being able to put together events where new teachers and old teachers bond and make connections. It really makes working at EDUA Group feel like a family.
I have represented EDUA Group for over two years and in that time have been very involved in my role as a professional language teacher. During this time I have met some interesting students through the school, which is one aspect I appreciate about working with them. Furthermore, there are a gamut of workshops, social events and responsibilities on offer, besides simply 'being in the classroom'. I was also impressed at how fast EDUA responded to the pandemic, giving me an ample amount of classes online.
My involvement as a native language teacher goes beyond administering classes and I appreciate the responsibilities which have been given to me since working with them. Of late, I have helped to lead an online workshop for over 100 teachers, developed materials for our S.E.N programme and worked with students towards their Cambridge examinations. In the history of my teaching career, I'm hard pushed to think of such a varied post than that of with EDUA Group.
As someone who originally worked for a very small language school, coming to EDUA Group was intimidating at first with all of the mandatory trainings and people to remember. However, those are exactly the things that make this a fantastic community to be a part of. I receive an immense amount of support from Senior Teachers, Teachers’ Coordinators, and Directors of Studies. What’s more, those mandatory trainings in addition to voluntary trainings continue to help me hone my skills in ways that are not possible when teaching privately or with a small school with fewer resources. Last but not least, after spending the better part of a year in lockdown, it is nice to come to a workplace that organizes a variety of social events to help this enormous school feel more like a tight-knit community. For us foreigners who are so far from our families and roots, that makes a world of difference.

What does the interview process look like?

Assessing your CV and interview invitation
After reading your CV, we will assess whether you meet the required criteria. If so, you will be contacted via email or phone and invited to an interview. This interview can be a face-to-face meeting or a video call.
2.
Lesson plan and interview arrangement
Part of the interview entails completing a short questionnaire and demo lesson. You will receive a questionnaire and instructions regarding your demo lesson plan that you should send to us before our meeting along with your interview invitation. Afterwards, we will agree on a date for your interview and we look forward to meeting you.
3.
Interview and interview result
We will discuss your experience during the interview and you will get the opportunity to teach part of your lesson. We will contact you about the interview results within a few days of your interview.
What are our requirements?
What knowledge and skills you should have
excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of the language at level C1 or C2 according to the CEFR (if you are not a native speaker, you should have a language certificate)
native speakers should hold a teaching certificate (TEFL/CELTA and others)
reliability, flexibility, excellent communication skills and a representative demeanor
What we appreciate, but do not require
a university degree in education or languages
teaching experience
Where can you find us?
The main premises for our teachers in Prague are located right in the heart of Prague’s Karlín district, overlooking its landmark, the Church of St. Cyril and Methodius. There are countless great restaurants and shops nearby, often including farmers‘ markets. We also have other branches in the capital where you can print or photocopy teaching materials free of charge. We also have excellent and well-equipped facilities for teachers in Brno. You can prepare for lessons in the city centre at Jakubské náměstí. However, our lessons take place all over the Czech Republic and we also teach in Slovakia and Poland.
